Just two, not fifty-two.

At Like Technologies, there’s not a lot we say no to.

Often, an existing client will ask us to reproduce a product and our answer will be along the lines of, “let’s take a look first, but yes, I’m sure we’ll be able to help you.”

In the most recent case, we were asked to replace two ruggedized battery packs. The purpose of each battery pack is to supply 12V power to essential equipment in the event of a major emergency at the clients’ site.

The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) had a high minimum order quantity which is why they approached us. They didn’t need more than two and it would have been wasteful to order more than they needed.

By looking at the original design, and listening to the client’s requirements we made incremental design improvements and then got to work producing the battery packs within budget and on time. Each battery pack had a charge level indicator, toggle switch, panel mount fuse holder and a new charger for battery management.

Once assembly had been completed, each battery pack was fully tested in-house and supplied to the client.

Our business relies on recommendations and referrals and after this initial order, we were contacted by a different site to provide two of the same battery packs. We don’t have minimum order quantities and pride ourselves on our problem-solving skills. How can we help you?
